JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB SUMMARY:
Child Care Aides are an essential part of the Youth Services team! They
engage with kids, play, guide, mentor and have fun at work!
Average hours per week: 10-30
SUPERVISION
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:
Employees in this classification work under direct supervision of the
Childcare Site Specialist
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(Any one position may not include all of the duties listed nor do the listed examples include all tasks that may be found in positions of this class.)
* Maintain positive relations with parents.
* Plan and conduct daily schedule of activities.
* Responsible for the safety, health and happiness of the children.
* Assist other staff in directing and overseeing children's activities.
* Chaperone field trips and outdoor activities.
* Oversee snack preparation.
* Other duties as assigned.
TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS
POSSESSION AND MAINTENANCE OF:
* Fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice will be required
* Child Abuse Index check
* Tuberculosis Clearance and satisfactory Health Screening
